I am delighted to introduce a tiny part of the Textnet2 project, initiated by Juliette Eckel. We are an international group (Europe, North-America and Australia) of textile artists who have collaborated for two years while living apart and working alone. Many of us have never met each other in person. Our project is based on a 12 months calendar. We are excited to announce that the international Carrefour European Du Patchwork en Alsace takes place in September this year and the Nadelwelt Karlsruhe in May 2022.

I was very happy to be invited by Juliette Eckel , to be part of the international textile group TEXNET 2,( now a few years ago). Textile artists from all over the world working together on the same project. Only having contact through internet: a new challenge...it turned out to be a wonderfull experience ! I will share 2 works I made for the project: I used a "person" to travel through the months, enjoying the seasons. -JANUARI : although it is cold outside, love and friendship keeps on flowing and keeps us warm. -APRIL : The grass is growing Further I will share 2 pictures of other textile works I made: -A WARM HEART : whatever happens, warm feelings keep us going -A TEXTILE INSTALLATION : old clothing was used to knit a new scarf, also to keep a person warm. The hands can be from anyone..we all can re-use materials.

After been selected twice for “Art Quilt Award” organized by Juliette Eckel in Germany – I joined her projects Texnet 1 and 2. We have members from all over the world. There textile art pieces were first sown on line. Now the newest project can be seen in Alsace, France in September 2021. www.patchwork-europe.eu My work is usually abstract (Samurai series) and made with fabrics from my big collection (homemade, vintage and some commercial). Here are some of my 15cm pieces for Texnet2. and "Samurai with Tsuba" selected for “Opposites Attract” www.saqa.com

I am so happy I agreed to join the group "Texnet 2", having been invited by Juliette Eckel. We are an international group of textile artists from Europe, Australia and America. For more than 2 years we have been communicating on Facebook and getting to know each other better through our work. I am excited to be exhibiting our fabulous project at EPM France, @ European Patchwork &Textile Tour Alasace France in September . Our project is based on a 12 months calendar where we chose dates and our own theme. My works are all, in one way or another, based on the words of Jon Fosse. The two first pictures represent my work for Texnet2, the next two are from a series of work from 2021 (still working), a challenge in my Norwegian Zoom-group with the label "A touch of blue". Mine are mainly inspired by nature. You find these on my Instagram @gretahusebo.

Today I want to share my joy of being a part of an amazing international group of 21 creative artists. The group is called TEXNET 2 and the members live in Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA. We started our work together in 2018, after being invited by Juliette Eckel . We are going to present our fabulous project, a 12 months calendar, where we chose dates and our theme. The exhibition will take place at the EPM in Alsace, France in September 2021. I wanted to contribute with something from this part of the world, so my theme is « Northern landscapes. » All my works are hand dyed, printed and hand stitched. Today I present two of my pieces in TEXNET 2. The others are from my latest summer solo exhibition. Hope you enjoy.

I wanted to share with you today about my wonderful experience of being part of an amazing international group of creative people. I am a member of Texnet 2 an international group of textile artists from Europe, Australia and America.I have loved learning from this group about their countries, their colours, their techniques and their passion. I am excited to be exhibiting our fabulous project EPM France, @ European Patchwork &Textile Tour Alasace France in September. Our project is based on a 12 month calendar where we chose dates and our own theme. I wanted to tell the story of our Seasons and how I interpret them here in Australia knowing that my themes and colours for each month would contrast with the Northern hemisphere. I have used hand dyed silks and fibres building up layers of textures and capturing the images with free motion stitch. The images of my art work are from different seasons here in Australia. I hope you enjoy https://www.facebook.com/Chelle.Textiles/
