I have always found working in a group with other artists to be stimulating, and it was with pleasure that I agreed to join the group "Texnet2" following Juliette Eckel suggestion.

For more than 2 years we have been communicating on Facebook and getting to know each other better though our work.

I am proud that this work will be exhibited at EPM in september ! 

I have chosen to represent vegetation through the seasons, sometimes in association with the theme of Women.

The two first pictures represent my work for Texnet2, the next ones two larger pieces

The nature that surrounds me, landscapes and History are my themes of predilection. I am also inspired by my travels and often use my photos in my work.

I like to experiment, dye, print or bleach my fabrics accordind to my projects.

I am delighted to introduce a tiny part of the Textnet2 project, initiated by Juliette Eckel. We are an international group (Europe, North-America and Australia) of textile artists who have collaborated for two years while living apart and working alone. Many of us have never met each other in person. Our project is based on a 12 months calendar. We are excited to announce that the international Carrefour European Du Patchwork en Alsace takes place in September this year and the Nadelwelt Karlsruhe in May 2022.

it's done! the car is packed and tomorrow I´m leaving for the EPM 2021! In a few days our exhibition will be shown at the EPM and now it is time for me to say thank you to the members of TEXNET 2. Thank you for believing in me and in this ambitious project! I remember very well that at the beginning an artist, who later didn't take part, asked me what if it doesn't work. My answer was: if I don't try, I'll never know ... Some of the invited artists probably didn't believe in the project ... But then we started with 21 artists! The first few months were very exciting and new. So many interesting and so different works were created. It was a wonderful experience to know that all around the world you have been working for the project. Again and again I could see how surprised and touched we all were to discover the work that was shown. I wanted to share with you today about my wonderful experience of being part of an amazing international group of creative people. I am a member of Texnet 2 an international group of textile artists from Europe, Australia and America.I have loved learning from this group about their countries, their colours, their techniques and their passion. I am excited to be exhibiting our fabulous project EPM France, @ European Patchwork &Textile Tour Alasace France in September. Our project is based on a 12 month calendar where we chose dates and our own theme. I wanted to tell the story of our Seasons and how I interpret them here in Australia knowing that my themes and colours for each month would contrast with the Northern hemisphere. I have used hand dyed silks and fibres building up layers of textures and capturing the images with free motion stitch.The images of my art work are from different seasons here in Australia.
